We started in 2021 with a small bet: that ambitious local businesses deserved the same quality of SEO that big-budget brands paid agencies six figures for. Five years later, we're still proving that bet right. Here's the story, what we believe, and the rules we work by.

OrdecTech started the way most useful companies do: by solving a problem we kept watching businesses pay too much money to get solved badly.

In 2021, Connor Cedro was watching ambitious Tampa businesses, the kind with real products, real customers, and real ambition, get sold SEO retainers by agencies that delivered AI-generated content, spammy link directories, and dashboards full of vanity metrics. The contracts were long. The communication was thin. The results, when they existed at all, didn't tie to revenue.

He started OrdecTech as a counter-position. Write content that's actually worth reading. Build links from publications anyone has heard of. Tie every deliverable to a number that matters to the client's bank account. Charge what the work costs and not a dollar more.

The first client was a Tampa jewelry store. The second was a boutique hotel. The third was a realtor team. Five years on, we've grown the same way every time: a client recommends us to another business, that business sees results, and the cycle repeats.

Today OrdecTech works with companies across jewelry, hospitality, real estate, fintech, AI/SaaS, and sports. Most are in Tampa. Some are scattered across the US. All of them share one trait: they're serious about their business and they want to be found by people who are serious about buying from them.

Five things we won't compromise on.

Write for humans, optimize for machines.

If a person wouldn't read it, Google won't rank it. We've never published a piece of content we'd be embarrassed to show a journalist. That's the bar, and it's not negotiable, even at scale.

Earn links, don't buy them.

Every backlink we build is pitched, negotiated, and earned through real outreach. No PBNs. No directory dumps. No "guest posts on 50 sites you've never heard of." Slower, more expensive, and the only way that holds up over time.

Tie everything to revenue.

Traffic that doesn't convert is a stat for a slide deck, not a result. We pick keywords by buyer intent, not search volume. We measure success in qualified leads, booked calls, and closed deals. The rest is noise.

No contracts that trap.

Every client is month-to-month, every dashboard is shared, every dollar is itemized. If the work is working, you'll stay. If it's not, you should be free to leave without lawyering up. The discipline that creates is good for everyone.

Tell the truth even when it costs us.

Sometimes the right answer is "you don't need an SEO agency yet." Sometimes it's "your site has problems we'd want fixed before we take your money." We say it. We've lost deals saying it. We've also kept clients for years saying it.

04 // How we work

A small team. Deliberately.

OrdecTech is intentionally small. Connor leads strategy and client relationships. A trusted network of writers, link builders, and SEO specialists handles the production work, all vetted, all paid fairly, all working under our editorial standards. There's no junior account manager you've never met making decisions about your campaign.

This structure exists because we've watched the alternative play out a hundred times: an agency wins the pitch with the senior partner, then hands the actual work to whoever's cheapest. The client never sees the senior partner again. The work drifts in quality. The relationship dies in slow motion.

We'd rather take on fewer clients and stay in the room. Most months we're at capacity. Sometimes that means waitlisting new business. We've decided we're okay with that.

Connor founded OrdecTech in 2021 after seeing too many ambitious Tampa businesses overcharged and underserved by traditional SEO agencies. A technology entrepreneur with a focus on Google and AI search, he leads strategy across every client engagement and writes the company's editorial standards himself.

Outside of OrdecTech, Connor is active in the Tampa business community and publishes regularly on SEO strategy, AI search, and small-business growth.
